Welcome to Brain Static!

Hey! You've found my digital garden - welcome! My name is Jackie, and this is my space to unload my brain of things that I'm interested in or learning about, alongside notes with information that I don't want to forget.

It's also just a fun side project that allows me to work on it as and when I have the time, and isn't as demanding as a blog post. I've only recently set this site up, on 27 April 2026, so it may be a while before anything of note lives here.

By design, a digital garden is imperfect. Unlike a blog, where an individual post is generally expected to be a finished product, digital gardens are more experimental in nature and intended to be added to continuously. They are places where thoughts and ideas are planted on pages and over time begin to take shape, eventually (hopefully) flourishing into something more substantial.

The Digital Garden Legend

Every page is flagged with an icon in its title:

🌱 Seedlings. Initial ideas.
🌳 Trees. Expanded ideas.
🍎 Fruits. Finished work (though this may still be added to over time).

These three categories are used to take any page from the first few words to a fully fleshed out idea. As I'm just starting out, you'll likely notice a lot of pages flagged with 🌱.

Navigation

You can navigate around this site via the folders on the left sidebar. Loosely speaking, a folder represents a topic category. Clicking on any one of them will expand the folder, revealing pages (or sub folders). Each folder represents a topic, and will have an index page that links to all posts for that folder.
